The Tennyson Lounge is a club with a u shaped bar in the front and a dancer pit in the back. The dancers can be seen from the bar, depending on where you sit, either well or OK. On the well side, they dance in a sort of pit so you can see from their knees up. Better viewing can be had by sitting on a chair at the dance pit, all will become clear there. The dancers seem to know many of the customers. They do have a Bareoke, sort of a nude, karaoke some nights. $5 to enter and a beer around $5 as well. Often there is a small white fluffy type dog at the bar. They do have two private dance cubicals but with cameras in them watching you, there is not much mileage to be had. The Tennyson is in a way out of the way part of town in a residential area with a business artery running through. Definitely not a downtown, big city type place and not a big Gentleman type place. Nor is it a sport bar with topless dancing. It has a couple smaller TV on the wall though. It is just a relaxing, no pressure neighborhood bar that has the bonus of strippers who are somewhat unenthusiastic. By the way, there is a second mini-stage near the bar where the girl goes to after the first pit stage. I have been to this bar since 1968 when I first turned 21. A visit every few years satisfies my curiosity. It has not changed much at all. The second stage is newer and the full nude was not there in the early days. All in all, a good place for locals but I would not travel an hour or more for it.
