Went to Camelot last Thursday night...
Went to Camelot last Thursday night for the first time in over a year to see what’s up. As far as I can tell, it really has not changed at all for the last 4-5 years (they have 2 floors but only the 1st floor was open as it was the day-shift when I visit and they only open the 2nd floor for the night shift, which starts at 7pm). Got there at 4pm and there were about a dozen customers.
They have a small raised stage on one side midway through a long narrow room. There is a small bar all the way at the back of the room. Seating is a bit tight but comfortable. Décor is about mid-range attempt at being high-class. Men’s room was clean but extremely small (room for 1).
There is no cover. Domestic bottle beer is $8 and well liquor is $10 (no happy hour specials). Parking is on-street/metered and can be tough to find during peak times due to the surrounding bars and restaurants, but they are 3 blocks away from a metro/subway stop. It’s a very popular bar neighborhood and is pretty safe. They serve typical bar food. Got a reasonably priced burger and it was ok but on the small side.
