In Atalanta on business, I wanted to check out the well reviewed Follies. I had read enough reviews to get a feel for the place, but I was still surprised at exactly how 'real world' the place is. There isn't a whole lot of fantasy in this place. Both the patrons and the customers know why they are there and no bones are made about it.

Finding a place to sit is a challenge and I made the mistake of vacating my early seat to wander outside for a phone call and came back to a complete packed room. If you get there early, plan on staying in your spot until you're ready to leave. The girls were mostly friendly and I got a number of offers to dance once the pace of the room picked up. At $10 on the floor, the value was great. There was a big range in dancer quality. In my opinion I saw 4 all the way up to 9. Mostly thick girls, lots of AA but a decent mix all around.

I was not prepared for what seems the norm in Atlanta clubs - until the girl gets a certain amount of money in tips on stage, she's not taking much off. This is backward from what I'm used to - in most places I've visited the girls get topless or nude for their set regardless. Not here, but there are so many bare chested girls giving dances on the floor it's almost a waste of time to watch the stages.
