Public Service Announcement: I will no longer tip any dancer who dances to hip hop. We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

My wife and I and a couple of friends spent the weekend at Topsail Island, and took out a few hours on Friday night to visit Cherry's Nightclub, somewhat oddly named, a local waitress explained to us, because the town of Snead's Ferry did not want to be known as the kind of community that would have a "Gentleman's Club," and the same waitress assured us that "the town is trying to get rid of it."

Shame on Snead's Ferry.
