I was in the high desert...

I was in the high desert on business and was headed into LA but the traffic going from Vegas to LA was crazy. I guess if you are from the area you know this to be true every Sunday. I checked tuscl and saw there were a few options but nobody reviewed empire so I decided it was time for me to TOFTT.

The club is pretty easy to find. Looks like it used to be some sort of warehouse. There isn't a ton of parking but there weren't many people so it was easy to get a spot. Looks big from the outside but not so big inside. I almost didn't go in as it didn't look busy but I decided since I was on a recon mission I would stay the course.

Upon entering it was like any club with a doorman taking the cover ($10). After he gave me a quick pat down. I am mixed on this because I don't really like being patted down nor in a place where it is necessary however if it has been an issue I am glad everyone else was patted down. I went in and saw a full bar and nobody on stage. There were 4 dancers hanging at the bar ranging from hot to meh. I ordered a beer and one dancer smiled at me but didn't really make conversation - since nobody was on stage I decided to sit at the bar and drink and see what happened. The dj (also the mgr) saw that I was looking around a lot and probably knew I would take off soon so he forced a girl to dance. She wasn't happy since there was nobody to tip but I was glad they at least tried to keep me there.
