I had a great time on my first visit to Houston Dolls... eventually. It's an extremely laid back atmosphere. I think I waited 30 minutes to get my first drink (which was fine by me since I like to nurse my drinks). The girls didn't pay me much mind at first either, but after hanging out there for a couple of hours they started to warm up to me. It was worth the wait. I got some surprisingly high mileage dances in the lap dance area (which are private rooms, but with no doors so bouncers can and do check in), and had good conversation in between trips. I would have written a few worse review if I was in a rush for attention, so I'm glad I hung back and waited for the action to come my way.
