The short version: If you are in for a trip to the block, this place is worth visiting during daytime hours.

Elaboration: The atmosphere is friendly - the culture that has been created (by whichever means) has resulted in a group of mostly approachable and amicable dancers who don't pry and who are very personable. Naturally, there are different prices for different services for different people. However, you can almost certainly find what you are looking for. When I have wanted to find somebody who would not pry one bit and who just babbled on about herself, it was easy. When I wanted conversation to take my mind off of whatever I had going on, I could find her there as well. When one wants raw stimulation, well, let's just say it isn't impossible to find.

The place itself is relatively cleanish (as far as the block goes) and well lit -- not well lit enough, however, to be too bright. It isn't hard to just focus on whatever you want to focus on.
