I used to love Hawaii Theater...

I used to love Hawaii Theater and everything about that club. I was sad when it closed down. Once Monarchs opened up, I thought maybe the same owner decided to change the name in order to attract more people. Then I found out, it is owned by the Spearmint Rhino chain. Enough said.

Well I went there within the first month they opened Monarchs and I was very disappointed. It was the worst experience I ever have gone through. I would go into detail about it, but don't want to make this review long. I said to myself, its barely opening, no big deal and I will check back 2 months later. So when I decided to check this place out for the second time, I am still disappointed.

The stage is in the middle and the dancers are like 5 and 6,and there are hardly any that stand out. I did not like it here because only 2 dancers danced in 30 minutes. This was at 10pm on a Saturday night. One dancer went on stage to dance, she danced half of the first song and suddenly left the stage, let one song play with no one on stage and then came back outside to dance again. When one girl finished dancing, they followed that by playing like 6 songs with no one on stage. It really felt like I was at home bumping the radio. I was bored as hell in that club. VIP is not private as mentioned by someone else because it is at a couch that is very open to anyone who passes by, especially a manager. It is really open to someone who passes by and it does not make you feel like a VIP. If that is what they were aiming for, then they should have just done the VIP in the parking lot. This place needs to do some changes or improvements.
