After my not so great visit...

After my not so great visit to Lust I decided to re-visit my favorite haunt - Platinum. I sat in my usual place near the axillary bar to the right as you walk in. It is the only place where I could hear myself think and actually carry on a conversation. Got a drink (although I did have to flag down a waitress since they don't seem to circulate near this part of the place). I saw a big banner advertising 2 dollar domestic beer and 2 dollar "call brand" liquor M-F 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on the front entrance. When the waitress finally came by I asked her what they mean by "Call Brand" and she gave me some story about the DJ calling out a certain brand of liquor and that brand would be 2 dollars. I always though "call brand" was the no name vodka, gin or whiskey, as oppose to top-shelf name brands (at least thats what it meant when I use to bartend). I didn't want to drink rot-gut booze anyway so I ordered my name brand and figured it was happy hour anyway. I can't decide if the waitress was clueless or trying to up-sell me, because I noticed during the two hours I spent there the DJ never mentioned any "call brands".

There were the typical new faces that has been the trend here as far as dancers. Most weren't even worthy of a two-dollar tip stage-side. I did spy a young hottie dancing on the main stage, who told me her name was Silver, but her stage-side dance was very little contact so I ruled her out. Usually the stage-side contact will tell you if the couch dances are worth it. I tipped a few more but was not inspired to invite them over to where I was sitting. Just as I was about to leave I spotted Denise, a dancer I have mentioned in previous reviews, coming out of the couch room. She saw me and waved and within a few minutes made her way over. She is pretty much unwavering in her price at $25 per dance and doesn't do multiple dance deals, but I know the quality of her work and it is worth every penny. She splits time between here and Myrtle Beach, but if she is in town I highly recommend her.
