Others have described the physical layout of this club but I'll confirm one recent change. The club has added some private dance areas in the northwest part of the building. These include some larger couch areas and a few smaller vip areas. In general, the VIP areas are roomy and much better than the VIPs in some of the other Detroit clubs (think Bogarts-- a metal chair in a closet sized cubical, and even Flight club-- a small curtained area with an overstuffed chair). The Toy Chest still charges for VIP visits although I was not charged a toll on this particular visit.

My most recent visit to the Toy Chest was an afternoon visit, so no cover charge. Valet parking seems unnecessary in this neighborhood but, at $6 it was a bit more economical than some of the other clubs in the area so I dropped my car with the attendant.

This afternoon, the club featured about 8-10 dancers, with a good ethnic variety and a range of body types.
