Tycoons is a pretty nice place. I would say it's standard decor, dark with neon and laser lights aimed at the stage. There is a stage for two dancers flanked by tables, which are free, and booths, which are nicer, but you have to pay for (I don't know how much, I'm a cheapskate and went straight for the tables). You can also sit at the bar. A Budweiser costs $7 normally but they have drink specials every day that are reasonable (the day I went had a vodka for $5, fairly strong drinks to boot). There was a decent amount of customers, none of them seemed sketchy, and I didn't notice any wannabe cop bouncers.

I guess I should put in a disclaimer here: I haven't been to any of the area clubs before so I can't speak personally as to how Tycoons rates compared to others. My friends with more of a knowledge say Bouzouki has the talent, but Coliseum is the best. Further, I'm not a particularly harsh reviewer, so sticklers should keep that in mind.

I went on a Sunday, and was fairly impressed. There was a diverse array of dancers, ethnically and physically (ranging from quite thin to a little on the thicker side). I'm not into thin girls so while I wouldn't say there were any fatties, others may disagree. I'd say talent was, overall, in the 7-8 range with a few 9's in there and the occasional 5 or 6. I arrived early, and left as the place was starting to fill up. There were 5 or so dancers initially and 10 or more later. The dancers are friendly and sit down to chat/negotiate with the customers readily. Incidentally, one of the dancers said I came on a good night, and I don't see any reason to doubt her.
