After my most recent Thursday afternoon trip to the Gras, I must say that the reports of its demise are greatly exagerated. I've been a regular here for 5 years or so, and while its gotten bigger and girls have come and gone, it remains one of the best clubs I've ever been to.

No big changes to the physical layout downstairs but there is major reconstruction happening upstairs. Not in the CR but the large room at the top of the stairs where the pool tables were. New windows have been added and there is some mojor framing being done on the perimeter. Don't know what their plans are, maybe an extension of the CR? We'll see. And for all those who think the city is going to take the Gras for deliquent taxes or the owner is going to let it go down the tubes think about it. There has been at least $500,000 spent on renovating this place. Would Jimmy make that kind of investment if he thought he was going to lose it?

Okay, sorry for venting, on to the good stuff, the wimmenz. Probably 20+ bancers I saw all 8s and 9s maybe a 7 here and there. All friendly, no attitudes that I saw, and stage tips were much appreciated. Same goes for the staff I encountered. Got bances from Angel (back for a very limited engagement), Tonya, Antonia, Gianna and Trina. All very accomodating even the ones I didn't know. Saw several others that I didn't have time (or money) to try. As far as the monitoring of the LD room goes, the bouncer didn't visit while I was in there, he was playing barback for most of my visit. The girls were a bit more circumspect than in the past, but high mileage nonetheless. Some of the girls did say that they've been reining them in a little tighter at night, but thats why I don't go at night. Caveat emptor. Things will cycle back around as they always do.
