I returned to Private Eyes late...

I returned to Private Eyes late on a Friday afternoon to find the place pretty dead (summer slump, perhaps?). Physical details of the club are covered in my previous review as well as a number of others here, so I'll skip this.

The dancers on hand this particular afternoon were of mixed quality, and all clearly day-shift regulars. One outstanding and friendly Belorussian girl whom I'd seen on previous day-shifts was the cream of the class, but none of the dancers was outright unpleasant. In contrast to previous visits, dancers were very aggressive with their hustle (likely due to the slow day), and I was, for the first time in this establishment, propositioned for extras. The dancer was on the lower end of the spectrum in this club, reasonably fit but older and with a poor attitude. She was, however, offering a BJ at a reasonable (particularly for NYC) price. In the semi-private VIP (not the fully-private "Blue Room", which is astronomically expensive), the furious upsell began, though. In the end I got what I wanted, but payed well beyond what I ought to have. Lesson learned, I suppose.

This is a good spot to sit and tip at the small main stage: generally strong dancer quality, uncrowded environment. My one experience in the VIP was somewhat problematic, though. As long as you keep your wits about you, I can surely recommend this place as a good afternoon spot for midtown Manhattan.
