Went to Amnesia 2 weeks ago...

Went to Amnesia 2 weeks ago when I was on a trip to San Diego CA. Drove down to the border, parked at the last parking lot (right by the crossing) and walked over. Quick taxi ride ($7 negotiated down from $10) and paid $5 cover to get in, which comes with 1 drink. Went upstairs to the club (the downstairs is a complete waste of space with lockers or something), and found a pretty average style club.

THE ROOM:

General strip club fare. Soft large velvet seats and some bigger couches in the back, small round tables, music is provided via videos shown on a large screen behind the stage. General Mexi-pop and rap-dance stuff, but nothing that made me want to cover my ears and run out. There are goons, but the more invasive guys are the waiters who were over every few minutes to make sure if I wanted to ‘buy the lady a drink’ I was able to. I did not and it got more annoying by the minute. I ended up tipping the one guy $5 who came over the most to not come back over and in general let the ladies know when they sat down that if I were going to spend money on them, it would be in the back room, not at $10 a pop for watered down booze that they only get to keep $4 or $5 of anyway.
