You’ve seen my review of Club Paradise in La Junquera. This review is complementary to it.

There are 4 or 5 other clubs in the vicinity of La Junquera. Recommendations seem to suggest Gran Madam’s which is a little ways out of town on the N11 road back to Figueras. It is an odd, solid concrete block of a hotel building about 5 or 6 stories high with its own parking lot. Apparently the girls live in the building, probably partly since the place is a bit isolated. One of them I spoke to had been living there happily for 4 years. There is an odd layout: you can go in through the bar on the left or there is a sort of grand entrance which seemed to be intended for groups. Anyway, you drift in through the bar. Then you realise there is another bar at the back, the two connected by a sort of corridor/open area. It is actually quite difficult to see, not just because it is fairly dark (not as dark as in CA) but also because of the poor design of the building, with pillars everywhere so that your view is quite restricted. There were probably about 50 girls in all, mostly in the second bar area standing around the jukebox or waiting to mobe anyone using the grand entrance. Costume a bit as in CA but fewer platform shoes and more prostitute boots. Girl types mostly Eastern European or Latina, as advertised. One black girl from Guinée with surprisingly good English. You get a lot of approaches with halting exchanges about where you are from and quite a bit of pressure to “lets go do it”.

Entrance is around €10 which includes a drink (alcoholic or soft). Then you pay the concierge €70 (so cheap compared to CA!) + €5.00 for condom and disposable sheet. The rooms are quite large, just as you’d expect in a no-frills hotel, with just a bed (not particularly clean undersheet) and hotel bathroom. They make quite a ritual of getting you to wash. Rather charming really. No music. Overall the rooms are a bit shabby (no carpets; peeling lino) but apparently they are doing some renovation no doubt to keep up with the competition in town.

YMMV as they say but this place seemed a bit rough compared to Club Paradise and the choices can be a bit hit or miss: there are some very nice girls and there are some beautiful girls too although you may find they just leave you to get on with it, without a whole lot of interaction. One of my worst experiences was with a stunningly beautiful young Romanian girl with a fabulous figure, perfect full young pointy breasts, sumptuous ass and lovely long glossy black hair who was more interested in her fingernails and in calling her “brother” back in Romania. Still at €70 hardly a total write-off. On the other hand, the pneumatic stocky young Bulgarian with glasses was something else! Think Pammie’s younger sister. I’d go again if only for her but Club Paradise seems a better bet overall.
