My time spent at Club Erotica has taught me a lot about what to look for in a strip club. It’s also taught me a lot about what to avoid.

By Pittsburgh standards CE is a large club, but like most places in the greater metro area parking is limited – your options are valet, or taking your chances along the streets (I’d recommend sucking it up for valet, since curbside space is limited, the neighborhood isn’t the most secure, and cops tend to ticket aggressively). If you’re the thrifty type valet won’t be the biggest shock – the $20 cover will hit you a lot harder. To be fair, that cover charge includes unlimited draft beer, so on balance you may still come out ahead.

After paying cover and a cursory pat down by the door guy, you’re free to enter the club and enjoy the alcohol and other attractions. The main, hourglass-shaped stage is at the far end of the room, with the primary bar to the left. There’s a small “velvet rope” seating area next to the bar, though I’ve never seen this occupied. Two satellite stages take up the rest of the floor between the main stage and the door, with a secondary bar in the front corner opposite the entrance. On weeknights dancers and drink service are confined to the main stage and bar, respectively.
