I've been making the stop on Southeastern Ave. since the mid-1980's when in Naptown. Of course there aren't a whole lot of clubs that have been in business for 20 years without a management change, legal problem, insurance fire, or other earthshaking event. Of those that have, I can't think of one that's changed less. Contact lap dances and the VIP room arrived while the fondly-remembered LFK for a dollar tip is gone, but the Brass is still the Brass and that's good.

Two complaints knock this year's rating down to a 7. If you look at the photos on the walls near the entrance (they really are Brass Flamingo dancers for the most part) you'll see the alumni tended to carry a few pounds in all the right places. Now the accent seems to be on skinny 19 year olds; matter of taste only and I'm officially a dirty old man. I'm more disappointed in the souvenir calendar. (I have an autographed '87 and it ain't for sale!) It used to be classy and free, now it's on cheap paper and they want three bucks. Still, a good place. Long may it endure.
