Uneven, hit or miss seem to be the right terms for the MS lately. For years, it was reliable, consistent and always fun to be there. Lately, that's true only sometimes. This visit was a complete dud -- perhaps I wasn't in the right mood although I moved on to Players and thought that was at least fine. Not many folks in MS and the dancers seemed to be disinterested. Some didn't bother taking their tops off. Of course, no one was tipping at the stage so they didn't have a lot of external incentives but they weren't trying. Even more surprising, the barmaid (who is usually high quality service wise but not particularly friendly) wasn't paying attention either. I sat at the bar but after being ignored for 15 minutes (and I noticed I wasn't the only one) I got up and left without getting a drink. The plan was to get a $10 bucket (4 domestic beers) and chill for a couple of hours. This was my shortest visit ever to MS. It was a wasted trip. I've been here on Sundays before and it's slower than other nights but not like this.
