After entering Flashdancers, you are immediately basically taken to the chairs by the dancers so that you can tip right away..this is not a bad thing, as you can easily get up and walk to the bar or if you are interested in throwing down money that night, you can get your own table in "the back." I sat down for a few minutes, then got up and made my way to the bar where many dancers will walk bye, offer massages and just sit down and talk with you to see if you want to buy them drink or possibly get a few dances. As most places, dances are $20 and just to let you know, the offered massages at the bar are $20 as well (and actually are not half bad). I was told once getting dances that getting that particular dancer for an hour "in the back" was a little over $600..so assuming if I wanted to, I could get around $300ish for a half hour...I declined, but cannot complain with the majority of the dancers that came my way while I was at the bar, but I definitely would recommend Flashdancers if you are in New York City. Unfortunately, it seems many of the dancers who go on stage sometimes do not make their rounds to the bar if that is what you are looking for.
