Though I lived i Groton for almost 20 years, I had only stopped in at Rosie's once, and that was for literally 2 minutes. Needing to go back on business, I had a few hours to kill, so I dropped in to see how the place was doing. As you go in, you immediately see a large 'squarish' bar that takes up about half of the space. A third of the space has pool tables, and the rest of the space has a long stage that is located off to the side. Although dated, the bar was clean and spacious. The patrons and the bartender were very friendly, and the drinks were very reasonable. The place has the feel of a neighborhood bar, and I could see myself hanging out at this place if I still lived in Groton.

I'd love to tell you about the dancers, lap dances and VIP rooms, but I cannot. Although I was there for an hour (mid afternoon), I did not see a single dancer. In fact the stage was dark, and it didn't look like any dancers were expected. It looked like that was the norm, and thats disappointing. My job makes it hard for me to hit the clubs at night, and so I can only go on afternoons. Unfortunately,more and more of the clubs are opening only at night; I guess that it has to do with the economy, but really how much more can it cost to keep a couple dancers around on afternoons. Patrons would certainly stay longer, and the girls would make some money off of tips.

I'm giving the 'Dancer Quality' a '2', but don't read too much into that. I just mean it to say that there were NO dancers; for all I know, when dancers are around, they might be gorgeous.
