Evening before the fourth of July,...

Evening before the fourth of July, I figured I'd head to Dreamgirls since it would be like a Fri/Sat night (no work the next day). I'm new to the area, and Siri sent me to Deja Vu Showgirls instead. Didn't realize it until I asked a girl where the hell I was. Anyway, this club is downtown and there were plenty of people on the street late at night so if you're bashful you'll have to duck into the club quickly and run up the stairs. Entry is $20 for all the sodie you can drank.

Club setup is weird - a bunch of uncomfortable chairs pointing toward a stage town hall meeting style. Of course the chairs are uncomfortable in contrast to the back room where there is plush, comfortable seating for lap dances. Funny how that works. I do like the second room, though, as it facilities for more action if only a few people are back there when the club is only half-full.

Customers ranged from the usual strip-club characters to groups of Asian nerds and giggling Japanese girls. The nerds were fresh meat in the water for the sharks. The Japanese girls just giggled constantly. Obviously a lot of people from out of town as each girl asked me where I was from, Las Vegas club style. Annoying.
