I grew up in Sacramento, so Gold Club Centerfolds served as my introduction to strip clubs. I was impressed with the club but I also had no standard by which to judge. 15 years later -- 10 spent living in the Bay area, and after dozens of trips to Vegas -- I have moved back to Sacramento and realized that Gold Club beats all SF clubs by a mile and while the quality of girls are on par with the upper tier of Vegas Clubs, the bang for the buck is indisputably better.

The number of dancers working always seems appropriate for the day and time, and errs on the side of having too many girls, which is never a bad thing for a customer. I've always found that a very good spread of ethnicity, body type, and age is represented, so there usually something for everyone.

There's a main stage that's always in use, and a secondary stage that sees action during the crowded weekend nights. The two-stage setup is good if you are like me and spend time on the rail but are somewhat discerning. Rather than having to wait to see who comes out and then awkwardly get up if you're not interested, you simply need not commit to the main stage. If you see a dancer you like on main stage, you can just head over to the secondary stage where they will rotate to next.
