I finally...

I finally got around to checking out Cabaret II on Friday, June 21, at about 10:30 PM. I had come by once before well after midnight and decided it wasn't worth the two-drink minimum for half an hour or so. I hesitated somewhat when approaching the club on Stark, as just ahead of me LE pulled a car over and after I parked a second unit stopped another right in front of the club. I've no idea what was going on; let's just say there's a lot of activity going on in this area at night.

As far as the facility itself, I think it is quite nice. Despite what others have said the exterior building was attractive and a lot better than most other clubs I have been to in PDX. The interior was the same: nice and comfortable. Not on a par with some of these "gentleman's clubs", but not with the attitude that you're a scumbag if you're not throwing money around like an idiot either. However, I didn't care for the stadium seating arrangement around the main stage. It just doesn't have the ambiance that entices me to sit at the stage. The "catwalk" stage on the balcony was more to my liking. No pole, but you're very close to the dancer and get a great "at the rack" experience.

A previous poster's assertion that it's better to just use the lounge chairs in the corners of the balcony for private dances instead of choosing the "champagne rooms" is true if all you're going to do is sit on your hands while the dancer grinds her butt in your crotch. If you are looking for anything more definitely go for the champagne room. The lounge chairs are $20/song and the private rooms are $60 for two songs. Depending on the dancer, it may be possible to arrange a slightly lower rate.

Regarding the dancer talent on the night I visited, I would say it was just average. Nothing that really caught my eye. I prefer slender, young white ladies. Really none of those. I got private dances from a buxom milf who had a bit of excess baggage in the butt and thighs. She was cute in the face and quite friendly though. I think I kind of overlooked the hottest talent though. There were about six petite attractive black chicks dancing. All were very attractive; no D-cups, big booty butts, or thick thighs. I don't usually go for the black ladies but I think I made a mistake here. There were a fair number of black male patrons present, so I'm not sure if these ladies were open to spending time with an old white dude. However, if you are looking for young, black spinners I would definitely give this club a try.

There is a two drink minimum which acts as a de facto cover charge. When you order a drink, you are charged for two of them and then given a receipt which you present to obtain your second round. I had drank a fair amount already when I arrived here, so I just ordered a soda and the cost was $6.
