I went to the club in...

I went to the club in the early evening, a little before 7:00PM. (I thought it was a little hard to find, but that may just be me.) Turns out they don't charge cover if you enter before 7, so $10 saved right there! Upon entering they used a wand on me for metal objects - an interesting experience. But then they waived me right through.

The setup at that time was a single stage. I took a seat and waited for a waitress. After waiting awhile it became clear that getting a drink was a DYI approach. The bartender was cute and friendly, and I got myself a $4 Coke. (I was driving, after all.) There were probably 15 or so guys and a couple of girls as patrons, and the atmosphere was decidedly low-key. Now, I happen to like that, makes it a little more intimate. The dancers, however, were not quite as happy about it! Mostly they were slow to mount the stage, gave adequate but not inspired dances, and high-tailed it to the bar afterwards. It probably didn't help that I was at the end of one shift and the start of the next.

The quality of the dancers was mixed. One really cute one who was either dancing on the stage or drinking at the bar - she clearly was just waiting for her shift to end. The rest were various levels of quality in terms of looks and dancing ability. After being asked twice by a dancer with a big smile (and implants to match), I decided to take her up on a private dance. We went to a back room which consisted of a long bench and privacy screens, so that the bench was divided into seating areas of about 4 or 5 feet. I got the dance but she was a little rough for my taste. Later I found a delightful (and very attractive) dancer who, after chatting with me about 20 minutes or so while sitting on my knee, led me to the back room and gave me a very sensual and ultimately fulfilling private dance with more contact than I expected (nothing truly extreme, but lots of hands-on).
