I visited Cabaret Royale last week in the mid-afternoon. It wasn't packed with customers and there were more than ten dancers strutting around. CR, when it first opened, was probably the nicest club in Dallas. It is no longer the nicest club in Dallas, but by no means is it the worst club in Dallas. During the day, there was a cover, and for a small up-charge, I was able to go to the VIP area upstairs. My total payment was $5. They give you a wrist band for VIP - so if you're worried about evidence, be sure you ditch it before leaving. The upstairs VIP area is pretty wide open - little if any privacy. Then there's a champagne area - I didn't enter the champagne area, but it does appear to offer more privacy for dances. There is also a single stage upstairs, but you can oversee the main stage from one of the balcony-side seats. As the girls worked through their stage rotations, I noticed very few seemed to linger on the VIP level. My upstairs VIP drink service was pretty slow, as well. So, I moved to the lower, non-VIP level.

The lower level was better all-around. Drink service was better - a waitress seated me as soon as I walked in - and the girls did seem to be lingering around. Upstairs, I received not a single dance request. Ten minutes after I was seated downstairs, I'd received (and declined) three dance requests. I noticed Latinas, Asians, blondes, brunettes and one black girl. I had my eye on a Latina who was, in my opinion, the most attractive of the shift - and on this day, the attractiveness bar was set at about a seven (for me) for the top of the scale. There was no 'total package' in the group. I like slim and tight, and busty is a bonus. I lost sight of my Latina target, and as I did, a tiny Asian girl came at me from my right flank. She fit all of my requirements short of bustiness. I agreed to a dance, and she guided me to one of the dark corners and set up shop. As she started dancing, the waitress was kind enough not to interrupt. Short of a tell-all, I will say she worked EXTRA hard to make me a happy client. And I was.

Overall, I'll add Cabaret Royale back into my strip club rotation. It's not fancy and is in need of a major renovation. This renovation has been needed for quite some time, but I guess someone's gotta watch those costs.
