The Flamingo is located just a stone's throw outside of the City of Lawrence. There is a large gravel parking lot around the club. As you enter there is a vestibule, followed by the club itself. The first room inside the club has the access to the VIP room and a small bar. Just beyond this room is the main club. There is a bar along the far wall and a stage to the right as you enter. There are perhaps a dozen tables around the stage and another dozen tables beyond the aisle that leads to the entrance.

There were 6 dancers working when I showed up. There were a couple of older gals, 2 black dancers, and two younger dancers. They ranged in age from perhaps 19 to 30. They ranged in looks from 5 to 8.

I sat down and ordered a beer. The waitress was the cutest girl I saw while I was there. Within a minute one of the grizzled veteran dancers asked me if I wanted a dance. I declined, saying maybe later I would, and she left. That was the last dancer to approach me. I tipped the girls on stage, but none of the dancers approached me or sat down to talk.
