Players is on the 8 Mile...

Players is on the 8 Mile strip near Schoennher. It has mandatory $6 valet parking. Inside cover is $10 however if you come in before 9 it's free. Mandatory coat check. Bouncers are very friendly. Big improvement since they remodeled the place. Four small, lighted stages surround an oval shaped, lighted bar which is now in the center of the club. The booths were taken up so we chose to sit at the bar. Bartenders were friendly & seemed to be having a good time at their jobs which helped keep customers upbeat. There's also an upstairs balcony with tables & VIP rooms. Customers no longer pay to use the VIP for dances. We didn't try the food this time, drinks were about the same price range as other clubs on the strip. The dancers varied, a lot of 6 & 7s, couple of 2 & 3s, some 8s & one or two that might be considered a 9 or 10. Music was at a decent level so you could have a conversation. Basically a little something for every taste. This is by far my favorite club as everyone from staff & entertainers to the crowd that frequents there are all very laid back & friendly group of people, definitely a kind of "Cheers" feeling.
