My wife and I traveled to Council Bluffs for a “date night”. Just as Casino Cab was arriving at the Playhouse, security came out and said they were closing because of the approaching storm. For no extra fee, our cab driver agreed to take us to Spearmint Rhino in Carter Lake.

We got a good first impression at Spearmint Rhino as security was dressed in a suit coat and tie. They did explain that the BYOB side was closed, but they said they’d keep our drinks and we were welcome on the bar side. The place was nice, upscale, but when we got in no one was dancing. We got a couple drinks and then the floor manager came and explained that all the girls were in the private dance area, as a special was going on right as we arrived. While we waited for dancers, I talked with the manager about private dance options. Our biggest disappointment with the place was their private dance price policy. Basically they wanted to charge double for my wife and I. All the other places we’ve been recognize that as a couple we just take up the time and space of one dancer, and don’t charge double for two of us. They wanted $490 if we wanted the champagne room for a half hour. Eventually we determined the two of us could have a 2 song set with one dancer for $90 plus tip.

The girls were exceptional. Most of them were extremely attractive and average or better dancers. Most of the time we were there, they danced in two song sets. On the first song, they danced with their tops on. When the tops came off for the second song, all the girls had duct tape covering the nipples (our second biggest disappointment).
