Succumbed to temptation and visited the Block's infamous Circus Bar and Restaurant. Had wanted to see why this place on the Block had the reputation for being on a lot of clubbers "not to do list." As I walked in, the door man for the Club Harem next door, chuckled and said, you won't be in there long. He was right.

The bar itself is not bad, nice size and not cramped like some of the other clubs.a few big screen tv's..The bartender was an older guy named Joe and seemed okay, on this night. The problem was the ladies..I had a brunette in her mid 30's walk up to me that looked like she'd been run over by a dump truck and was high on crack at the same time. She mentioned getting out of the club and doing some extras..no thanks..saw an older blonde on the other side of the bar that looked rough as well..there were a couple other caucasian ladies (didn't see any black/hispanic tonight) that weren't as bad, maybe 4-6..they were tied up with customers. Decided to move on. If you read the reviews on this place you'll see that guys can find a diamond in the rough here and have a good time for a decent price on occasion, so it can be worth a quick look, but more often than not, you might not be there long, just like the doorman at Club Harem said. No cover though, so no harm in checking.
