To reach Concepts in Aurora, you drive west on US 50 past the town of Aurora, heading towards Dillsboro. The club is kind of out in the middle of nowhere. It appeared it used to be a restaurant-bar combo called Journeys before being remodeled into a strip club. When the dancers came out to the stage, they came out through what was the old kitchen. The first room you enter has a two pole stage. A bar area is in the room to the left, and there are three corridors extending off of the stage room where dances take place. Beers were $3.50 and the cover charge was $5. There is a guy who announces the dancers with a small microphone, but music was played off of a TouchTunes jukebox. Most of the music that was being played was country. Then again, this place was in the country and quite a drive from Cincinnati. Most dancers here stay in their bikini while on stage. The few who did remove their tops had pasties it seemed.

The club was very clean and new, but the talent did not match up with the nice atmosphere. I counted six dancers: five white, one black. One of the white girls was even visibly pregnant. No one from the sparse late Saturday night crowd of ten or so patrons would even give her a dollar. Another of the white dancers was too Rubenesque. Two of the other Caucasians appeared to have had some hard years due to drugs. However, the fifth white dancer, Alexis, was a total knockout. The black dancer was a 7 with a good attitude, but 3 points short of a 10 due to wear from childbirth. The younger of the two crack whores was very skinny and appealed to my friend, who has been known to have a liking for spinners. At the table, she kept sticking her tongue out at him and making a licking motion. My friend interpreted this as a sign that he was going to get his dick sucked in the VIP room. I think he paid around $150 for thirty minutes. Absolutely nothing happened other than regular dances and the dancer giving herself an orgasm on his pants. He was pissed and would later whine about being blue-balled. The VIP area was not even that private considering the staff would peek around the corner every five minutes to make sure no hanky-panky was going on. Lap dances were just $15 and seemed to be a better value than the VIP room. The only difference between the two were that the regular lap dances were in a corridor with more foot traffic moving by the entrance, whereas the VIP areas were in corridors off to the far right of the club that only a lost patron or bouncer would venture into the entrance.

This club is part of the Concepts strip club chain which also has locations in Covington and Lawrenceburg. It will be interesting to see how this club stands the test of time. Any customers heading to this location pass by the sister club in Lawrenceburg en route, which is seven miles closer to Cincy. The Concepts in Lawrenceburg was our next stop and had four times as many dancers and ten times as many customers.
