Ecstasy Theater is a nude theater that has been around for twenty years or more. It was originally called Paddy Murphys. The owner is a Vietnamese couple and is run primarily by the wife. They tried opening a club called Mermaids in neighboring Newport Beach, but the city closed them. Entrance at the door is $8 during the day and $10 during the evening. Inside there is a two drink minimum of $12 consisting of two bottles of water or Pepsi. The club is non-descript on the outside and average on the inside. The room is rectangular with the stage running down the middle of the room. Off to the left as you walk in is the couch dance area consistng of six partitioned areas with a couch in each area. The girls range from average to beautiful. There is a type of girl for every guy. The girls are friendly and will sit and talk with you if it is not too busy. They do not pester you to buy them drinks. As long as you have paid for your original two drinks you're set. The girls who are successful go from customer to customer asking if he wants a dance. Others just sit together and complain that they aren't making any money. In the "back" where the dances take place the guy lays down fully clothed and the girl takes off her outfit and straddles the guy. She then proceeds to grind away. The dj/bouncer comes around at the beginning of each song to record who is giving a dance so the club gets their cut. He also is checking for any blatant sexual acts. Obviously, everyone knows that if anything is going to happen it is after he has made his check. Dances are steep - $50 per dance for a 3 to 4 minute song. Your mileage varies from the dancer sticking it 2 inches from your face with no touching to touching. It all depends on how many dances you have paid for, are you her regular, do you look like her ideal man, is she horney and you're in the right place at the right time, etc.
