For local Toronto residents, the Brass...
For local Toronto residents, the Brass Rail is known to be a bit of a tourist trap. From the awkward, narrow entrance area to the $10 beers to the relatively low mileage, the Rail tends to be pretty disappointing especially if you've travelled to better clubs and find yourself back here. It's tough to tell how many dancers are here on a given night because some of them hang out in the Upper Brass upstairs - though most of them will circulate for at least a little while on the main floor eventually. I'd say probably about 30 dancers are here on a Friday or Saturday night.
The Rail used to undeniably have some hot girls, and there are still a few, but I haven't seen a 10 there in years, and probably not a 9 in at least a year or two. You'll see guys on a bachelor party or tourists with money to burn seemingly have a decent time here, and I myself have had so-so nights here if you happen to hit it off with a good dancer. But those nights seem farther and farther in the rear-view mirror.
The typical Rail dancer is in her late 20's or 30's, quite tall and very thin, prim and proper, and there are quite a few of European descent, so if that's your thing then your chances of having a good time here should increase substantially.
