Club Venus is located in downtown...

Club Venus is located in downtown Covington in a somewhat narrow store front, but the inside extends back a ways. A $5 cover was paid at the door. The front half of the club is a bar extending all the way down the left wall. The back half of the club is a two pole stage that is along the left wall. The club is classified as “bikini”, meaning the girls dance on stage wearing bikinis. There was also a no-touch policy at the stage. The old fart manager sat near the stage and stared down all of the guys at the tip rail. Music was played off of a TouchTunes jukebox. Most of the dancers played hardcore rap. Every once in a while a dancer would circulate the room asking for dollars for the jukebox, which got annoying.

Of the six dancers I counted during primetime 10:30pm Saturday night, five were white and one was Hispanic. nd had an affinity for hardcore rap music based on their TouchTune choices. Two of the six were fuckable by my standards, and the other four were a 2, 4, 5, and 6 on the 10-point scale. The 2 approached my friend and told him he could do anything he wanted with her. I doubt in the club, but outside of the club, probably so. My friend has been known to get drunk and bang some nasty hoes, but even this dancer was too disgusting for him. The two doable dancers were locked down by regulars the whole time we were there.

Apparently, to get around regulations forbidding lap dances, you can buy a dancer an overpriced drink. She’d then spend one-on-one time with you for however long it took her to consume the drink on a bench in the back of the club with absolutely no privacy. I believe prices ranged from $38 to $150 for the “drinks” and presumably the more you spent, the more intimacy you’d get. If you are familiar to how some clubs operate on The Block in Baltimore, then this would be similar. I did not bother buying a dancer a drink on my visit, but my friend who lives in Cincinnati did do so on a previous visit and claims he was allowed to touch the dancer and French kiss her after buying a $100 drink. Having been to strip clubs all around the United States, I'd say Club Venus is very tame, and I do not think I'd return.
