I've been to the blue moon...

I've been to the blue moon 3 times this year. It's located just north of the airport in an older rundown area. The building is old and small and you're gonna see some homeless characters but it's a pretty standard for what you can expect when you go to an urban strip club in an older part of town. I don't think I'd go at night but there's cops all over the place there so it's probably about as safe as anywhere else. When you walk in it's incredibly dark (as it should be in my opinion) and you pay the guy a $10 cover. I've always been during the day when an older white dude is working the front. He pretty much stays out of the way and takes little interest in what's going on in the club. The stage is a small black square at the north end of the room with a pole. There's the typical set up with chairs set around the stage and then they have about 20 more chairs in the center of the room set up in 3 rows. It's a small place that's being remodeled. It's basically a big, open, square room. The bathroom looks like it's almost totally remodeled and it's pretty nice with dark gray tile and new fixtures. Around the edges of the club are the private dance areas which are basically padded chairs. They've got the private area in the very back of the club and on the right side if you're facing the stage and then a table/cocktail area on the left if you're looking at the stage. I've read that they're remodeling but I haven't seen any changes since I've been going. There is usually between 4-8 girls working when I've been in there. It's an older urban strip club so you can expect minority girls (black and hispanic) with the occasional skinny emo or overweight white chick. Overall, I give the girls a 6 because I do like minority girls but this isn't the place you'd go if you wanted the top shelf strippers. This place is gritty compared to the high end clubs. The dancers do frequently ask if you want a private dance but they're not too pushy. The pole dances are usually slow and uninspired but during the day when I go there's only a few guys in there so there's no energy in the club. I usually throw down a few dollar bills on the stage and then I wait for one of the hotter girls to come around and ask for a dance. KEEP READING! Now, we've come to the part of the review where I explain why you get the most bang for your buck. A private dance is $41 and these are the MAIN reason that I go to the blue moon. The contact is EXTREMELY liberal with most of the girls on the day shift and all of the private dances that I've ever gotten have been with girls that got completely naked and basically allowed touching anywhere. They take you back to the private dance area on the side or in the back and it's plenty dark so it's fairly private even though the room is open. I enjoy the liberal amount of mutual touching and then I usually leave. Most of the girls in there will drive stick shift during the private dance and spending about $50 bucks for that is cheap. Overall I give the club a 7 because of what you can get away with during the private dance and I enjoy going once every few months.
