Decent atmosphere at this Vu. The seating next to the stage has a velvet rope separating dancers and customers; depending on the club/dancer mood the rope gets unhooked for quick lap dance previews and such. This is sort of a "tipping area" but they aren't a-holes about it like other clubs (my only visit to the new Ricks, the DJ was constantly ragging about tipping). I'll tip when I feel like it, with dancers who get my attention; if that's a problem, I won't return.
Overall dancer attitude is decent. With few exceptions, the dancers don't act like you are expected to buy a dance, and seem to "get" that they need to charm you, not the other way around. They do have the annoying "buy the lady a drink" hustle. I don't buy "ladies" drinks unless they have alcohol in them and might get me laid, so no thanks.
Dance specials (3/$40) seem like a good deal, but the songs were cut short, so I'm not sure. I go to this club infrequently. When I find a dancer that I like, she has too frequently quit working there next time I visit. Word is that there is extensive video surveillance of dance areas, and both customers and dancers moves are limited as a result. A good grinding lap dance is usually available, with some touching both ways. Overall, this seems to be one of the better clubs currently operating in the Seattle area, but definitely hit-and-miss and not an outstanding value in absolute terms.
