I started dancing here because I was tired of what was going on at most clubs in Miami. All I pretty much did was lap dances and table tops. The rest of the girls were always going to the VIP rooms. We all know what goes on back there. I did my research and only clubs in Key West and Woodys in Islamorada either didn't have rooms or had cameras in the rooms. What a great time I had working at Red Garter. If I didn't have to travel from Miami to Key West to work here I would've never left. I mainly worked weekends because I had a corporate day job in Miami and my friend had to go to school weekdays. (She graduated and has a great job now and isn't dancing either) We contemplated moving to Key West after she finished school but we never made it happen and both of us stopped dancing. Jason, the general manager is such a cool guy from Boston. I have to admit that I use to TRY to tease with him often. He's got the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. Besides Glenn from Woody's I never met such a professional manager at a strip club.
The Dj's are energetic and friendly despite being there for so long. They always checked me in with a smile and welcome back. I always tipped them 20+ because I feel like they deserve it. (DJ tip out is 10) The bartenders are very friendly and honest. They will not rob you. They greatly cherish their job and will not put it in jeopardy for a few bucks. Tip them well and they will take care of you. Theres actually this one bartender, I forgot her name. She will remember your drink from like a year ago. It's so creepy. She's blonde and I think Russian. Ask for her. She's one attractive, witty, cool chick. The only thing I didn't like about this club is their white lighting. For some reason it annoyed me and drove me insane. Especially looking at peoples teeth. If you have bonding or crowns it will show people!! Watch out!!
They had between 30-50 girls every night. It was very easy for me to make money because I am youngER. This is another club where all the girls are over 30 (I love it). Most of them wear the same outfit every nightand have been there for over 5 years. There's one particular girl who has been working there for 20 years. Most of these dances very mechanical when it comes to meeting a client. I know they are there to make their quota every night but they seem to be rude. Don't get offended and give them a chance. It's all business. My way of approaching a client is very different. I didn't just go up to a gentlemen and ask for a dance. Introduce yourself, have a drink, make good conversation, find out what he likes and then ask for a dance or a VIP room.
