The Booby Trap is kind of...

The Booby Trap is kind of tough to get to if you aren’t from the area. You can see the place from Highway 826, but it sits off a frontage road, and there’s no way to get to that frontage road from the highway. From my hotel just east of the BT and just north of the airport, you have to get to the frontage road before getting onto 826 North; miss that and you’re wondering how the fuck you’re going to get back around to the club, let alone where is the turn to that road. And you’re not going to get any help with directions if you call them; the bitch at the other end of the line didn’t know how to get me to the BT and wasn’t interested in getting someone who could.

Nevertheless, since I was waiting to go to the world famous Tootsie’s Cabaret (which was well north of the Days Inn I was staying at) another day, I was determined to find a strip club close to my hotel (which is within walking distance from the jai alai fronton, although I would not recommend walking in this area) to see if the hot Latina talent in Miami trickles down.

Parking here is tight; cars were parked on the street. Once you pay the cover, you get to the floor, which looks a lot smaller than it does from the outside. It is packed; like Dallas, Miami’s strip clubs are places many locals go to socialize. The main stage show is a runway where each girl stops at one end, the middle, then the other end, taking tips from the guys seated at the tables right next to it.
