This club may be worth your while on a Friday or Saturday night, but DEFINITELY not Sunday. Came in around 8 p.m. and there were two skinny tattooed ladies lounging about on stage, and a couple more sitting at the back bar with customers. Nobody working, nobody hustling. To be fair, though, there wasn't business to be hustled, because I counted about 15 customers. Upstairs, the club room bar was closed (good place to watch Stanley Cup hockey though), and tumbleweeds were blowing through the Champagne Room bar.
If you do the math, you scratch your head and wonder why this club bothers to stay open on nights like this. Gotta figure Mondays are probably just as quiet. I mean, they've got two bouncers taking cover charges (yeah you betcha they've got the nerve to charge admission to this snooze fest!), three bartenders, maybe one or two bar backs... all making something per hour, I guess... I figure it's way more than what the customers are spending.
I got a glass of wine upstairs, watched a little hockey, then wandered back down to the main stage. Because no dancers had the initiative to come around and pick up my tip for a good long while, I had a lot of time to look around and reminisce about the good times I've had here over the past 17 years. Seen some amazing sights and done some amazing things in this club. In the good old days, even Sunday nights were great, because top-notch smokin' hot dancers still found it worthwhile to come in and find money-making opportunities among the less numerous but appreciative customers. Now - no more. A thing of the past. On Sunday night, this club LITERALLY looked like a shell of its former self.
