I'm surprised at the negative reviews...

I'm surprised at the negative reviews here. Went to Solid Platinum in May 2005 and had a wonderful time. We went on a Monday evening, paid $5 cover and ended up staying six hours. The club was clean, with excellent lighting/sound and a good mix of music -- everything from metal to country to techno. There was a good crowd with a healthy mix of couples, girls together on a night out, business types and just regular guys.

We had dancers come by the table within the first 15 minutes of being seated. They were polite and, even though we turned them down for a dance the first time, they came back later once we had settled in. The girls were attractive, but not unapproachable. Out of the 25-30 girls that danced, I estimate that 30% were silicon enhanced (a particular turn-off for me) and the rest natural with a variety of breast sizes from nearly A to DD. Two or three were a little stouter than I prefer (but, hey, different strokes...), leaving well over half in my & my buddy's 7-10 category. Stage appearances were for one song per dancer with full nudity – some came out nude and others undressed during the song.

Two women, Holly and Crystal, joined us at our table and both turned out to be intelligent and good conversationalists. I did not feel undo pressure to buy a private dance or "drinks for the lady", but, by the end of the evening, I was happy to do both. Dances in the private couch area were $35 for two songs topless and $45 for one song topless, one song nude. I went back with Holly and she promised an extra special experience for $55 – one topless, one nude. The $55 dance was full contact and as good as promised. In fact, I tipped a little more. Holly rejoined us at the table and kept coming back to talk all evening long. She even saved the last dance for me.
