In San Diego on business, only...
In San Diego on business, only for one night, and had an early meeting the next day, so didn't want to risk the traffic and delays of crossing into TJ and back on a Saturday night. Had read the reviews, and some recent news about SD club rules, so I set my expectations low, especially compared to TJ. But I was pleasantly surprised.
Cheeetahs is a medium-sized club, with one primary stage and a tip rail, couches all around the walls, a large bar with stools, and then a back stage area, that didn't seem to open up until late. There were more than 20 girls working, probably around 30+, with a wide variety. Thick girls, skinny girls, spinners, bolt-ons, white, Asian, Hispanic and Black. Several were hanging out at the bar, or on the couches, either talking up regulars, or getting to know the customers.
The girls would dance for around 3 songs, then come down and walk along the couches on the walls for tips. Some would hit you up for a LD while collecting the tip, some would sit down and chat. Mostly nice girls, a few talky types who didn't move on fast enough, but all in all, great personalities - no hard sell. There were a couple with a good pitch, so I partook in a couple of dances. The LD area is either a big room with a row of seating that everybody shares, so no privacy - at $20 per, or a second room with around 10 booths packed together, where you needed to buy 5 for $100 to enter. It's a little weird if you are shy - there are 5 booths on each side of the narrow room, facing each other. But if you don't mind that another dude is gettin grinded on across from you, it's better than the regular LD room, with side walls that separate the booths.
