I haven't been to this place...
I haven't been to this place in about three years, and when I did go all that time ago, I was totally unimpressed, but I believe that has changed now. The club is very small, but very nicely appointed - a pleasant place to spend some time. The girls range from a few very poor-looking women to some quite nice-looking girls, with a few 9-10s in the mix (the dancer quality rating I gave a 7 to above is what I thought is the average, but for most visitors, the average is not as meaningful as the range).
I arrived about 12:30 PM, so entry was free (you can also text the word Sahara to some number and get in for free). They offer 3-for-$30 bikini dances, where many girls will put out quite nicely, making it a very good value. When they're not offering the 3-for-$30 deal, it's $15 each, which is not such a great deal (in other nearby clubs, like Flamingo or 007, it's $10 each with no "special"), but decent, given the available mileage. VIP is $150 for 6 songs (12-15 minutes), which is pretty much the going rate (Thursdays they offer it for $100 -- most clubs have a day or two during the week where they offer a similar special).
You know, I noticed something interesting about the ratings for this place. If you look some of them over, you will see that guys who went in the evening rated it average (or worse sometimes), but guys who went in the afternoon generally rated it above or well above average. Thus, the overall rating for this club is mediocre, but for a day-time guy like me, it's rated well (and after going in the afternoon, I concur). I wonder what it is that makes this place a downer for the night shift, maybe it's too small to handle normal night crowds, so paying people (and quality dancers) stay away. Just a theory...
