A couple of us recently stopped in at the Gentlemens Gold Club. Although we had not been there recently, in the past, it was one of the better places to visit. The club itself is probably one of the nicer places in Baltimore. A while back, they underwent a complete renovation / rebuilding and it is classy, clean and very comfortable. Upon entering, it's a bit of a pain because you need to go through a very sensitive metal detector, but I guess that's not such a bad thing. Better to be safe. The staff was very accomodating, and the waitresses were really attentive. Unfortunately, while the club seems to have it together with the facility and supporting staff, the girls were really very ordinary. None seemed able to carry on an intelligent conversation, and they really weren't anything to look at. In the past, at least some of the dancers were absolutely stunning, but on this occassion the big screen tv was almost more entertaining than the stage show. Perhaps it was just a bad night for the dancers (although it was a Saturday). Because the club has so much else going for it, I would definitely try to stop back again, but I hope that the quality of the dancers will improve the next time.
