Sugars in Shoreline is about a fifteen minute drive from downtown Seattle on Route 99. West side of the highway, across from a casino. It is clean, spacious, well appointed. Lots of nice carpet, chrome and mirrors -- not a dive. Well staffed with polite staff and polite moderately attractive dancers To get in I paid a $15 cover, got seated by a lovely young lass, who provided me a small glass of soft drink. A sign on the wall informed that I would be expected to buy another $5 drink every hour thereafter -- but I was long gone before the first hour was up.
I hate to badmouth a place where girls are supposedly trying to please us pervs. But this place really puzzled me. I was there around 8 pm on a Wednesday night. It should have been moderately busy but I was the only customer in the whole vast facility. And I was bored stiff.
Have no idea how many dancers might be working, because all but one stayed out of sight except when they were off stage. The one exception was a sweet shy pudgy little blonde -- she may have been an apprentice -- who sat down beside me. She started her "private dance" pitch in a rather tentative and charming way. Being a tactile, friendly person, I started to engage her in conversation and I laid my hand on her forearm. Perhaps that freaked her out - I don't know -- anyway before she could get acquainted with me or even give me a sales pitch she nervously told me that she had to go get ready for her dance - which was not true, because when I left, two dancers and 10 minutes later, she was sitting alone in the back of the club with a cigarette and a magazine -- and no effort whatsoever to "get ready to dance". GO FIGURE.
