I'll be combining a couple of visits, some 8 or so months apart for reviewing purposes here:
I understand some people aren't super comfortable in the Bronx, but this is really not a bad neighborhood at all, and I felt completely safe entering and leaving. There is a metal-detector and pat-down security protocol, which I suppose is off-putting for some, but I really can't complain about.
The club has a very different character during the day shift compared with the night shift (I stayed around for the shift change on both trips). During the daytime, action is focused around the bar. The main stage is empty, and girls dance one at a time on the small "show stage" near the bar. The crowd is ethnically mixed and mostly working class guys who have finished the day early. Later on, the large floor area fills up and attention shifts to the main stage (though girls do continue to dance at the bar's show stage), and, crucially, the feel of the crowd changes from groups of guys spending modestly to "baller" types who tend to toss money in the air or to shower dancers/waitresses with singles. On either shift the dancers are predominantly black and latin, but body types range from small, lithe, six-pack-equipped ladies to women with comically large posteriors. This means that there's something for everyone, but there's also something for everyone to avoid. Daytime stage dances are pretty sedate while there are a lot of high degree of difficulty pole tricks on display at night. Conversation-wise, the bulk of the girls have a pretty ghetto demeanor, and not too strong a hustle for dances.
