I was in Vegas for the end of July - Last time I went had a great time at Rick's Cabaret but I had heard it closed. I was told about Rhino and Sapphires. Decided on Sapphires. Was charged 33$ at the door to get in and was given a free drink card by the cabbie - Whatever that's nice and all - so I go to turn in the free drink card and ask for a jack and coke. A jack and coke. I was told by the bartender that it was a premium drink and that costs $2 more. Really.
At that point I started to realize what a shit hole I had stepped into. I was approached by two pretty ladies and we were seated. They were nice and all but didn't make my heart flutter - neither did the two or three dancers on the stage - (Note: half the place was dark and they were using only one side of the stage sunday night - parking lot was empty). The gals were a bit older then me too.
I purchased drinks for the ladies to be nice from a passing waitress - way over priced but who cares. We're talking and again - not a single interesting dancer in sight. I'm offered a tour of the place by the ladies - and i go along with it - they take me to the VIP area, the skybox area, etc mentioning ridiculous prices. like $1600 an hour type stuff plus $400 for some Champagne... At that point I realize that Vegas has completely forgotten what market they are in. They mentioned a $300 a song private lapdance?!? or a $20 table dance on the main floor. I excused myself much to the surprise of the two ladies showing me around and walked out with my money. I had won $750 at the card table plus I had brought twice that much to play with anyway - I just didn't feel like handing it over all at once.
