Stopped by Oasis for the first time on a Sunday but I think I picked a bad day to come. I went to see a girl who used to work at Follies, but upon arriving I found out she wasn't there so I settled in and decided to survey the landscape. The place is relatively easy to find as it is just an exit outside the perimeter on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. There is plenty of parking and there was no required valet as it sits beside a large parking lot shared with other businesses. There was no cover to get in, and unlike follies, there is no metal detector or pat down which to me was an immediate signal as to the type of people who frequent the establishment.

The club is basically a big open room with bars along either side and a stage in the middle. It has a very high ceiling and there appeared to be an upstairs area in the back of the club. Ihe club is definitely not run down, but it is not overly flashy either. Drinks were normally priced. I think I paid 8$ for some top shelf gin.

The crowd was mostly middle aged to older white men, and the music leaned toward pop and rock. I don't think I heard any rap while there. Maybe I came on the wrong day, but I only saw about 5 or 6 girls. All were white and all were in the 5-7 range. I've heard the place referred to as "ho-asis," but that was not the impression I got after the hour I spent there. The girls definitely were not pushy. Most seemed content chatting with what I assume were their regulars. Even the girls I tipped did not stop by to say thank you. I ultimately got 2 dances and both were pretty tame. I'm not a touchy person so I didn't test any boundaries but I can tell you follies this is not.
