Double Vision is out in the...
Double Vision is out in the middle of nowhere on Route 9 in Clifton Park. It's got potential, but I've been here three times and it's very inconsistent. The first time I came here I had a decent time, but the last two times were awful. The parking lot is pretty sizeable, so no issues with that. You go up a few steps and are immediately confronted by a bouncer behind a little desk taking cover charge. One time coming here there was no cover, one time it was $10, and another time it was $20, so I'm not sure what the actual price is. The bar is a good size, though the drinks were pretty pricey. The stage setup is great. There's a tip rail around most of it and two different poles. The pole on the back of the stage is really short and I was always cringing, waiting for a girl to hit her head on the ceiling when dancing. The girls really range in appearance from 5-9. I was surprised at how heavy the mileage was on stage. For $1, girls would flip upside down and grind their ass or crotch in your face. There is also really heavy mileage with table dances. The dancers can either be really lazy or really demanding. Second time I came here I tipped a girl $40 on stage and asked her to come see me when she was done. She left the stage and went upstairs to smoke and didn't come back for over 45 minutes.
Dances are 1 for $25, 2 for $40, or 4 for $60. It sounds like a good deal, but there is a really heavy hustle for 100% tips. I was told the girls don't make any money off the cost of the private dance and so they have to push hard to make money. If you don't tip, you get an air dance that's even less contact than the table dances at Dicarlos, even if you've spent $60. They also tell you you have to tip up front, which is crap. I don't tip a waiter before I even get served my drink. I also heard the club has a minimum dance requirement for the dancers and if they don't sell a certain amount in a shift they have to buy dances themselves.
I got a lot of sob stories here, more than any other club. The girls drink like fish and told me more than I really wanted to know about the club, the manager, the owner, and the other dancers. Some of them said they used to work at Dicarlos, some said Nite Moves. One girl told me she couldn't get away with stuff at the other clubs that she could get away with here. I was told a lovely story about how the owner pays all the girls for sex, and the girl even pointed out which girls were doing it. Disgusting. I'm sure this happens but I don't want to hear about it. The first time I was here one girl even started bitching and gossiping about girls and management at OTHER clubs, but the last time I came here another girl told me she'd been fired. I liked Lily a lot, but after getting some dances with her another girl came and plopped down and started telling me really nasty stuff about her. Why is this happening? Every time I come here the girls feel the need to start with this shit. I don't want to hear it. I won't be coming here anymore because I don't want to deal with the drama. I suggest Dicarlos if you want to drink, Nite Moves if you don't. The heavy mileage isn't worth the bullshit.
