Pulse has reopened after being a casualty of the 2013 Peoria-area flood. Although the club and parking lot sit much higher than the nearby Kickapoo Creek, this flood set record levels in the area. The place is looking fine after being cleaned up.
Prior to the flood, Pulse added Illinois gaming machines in a convenient location where you can play them and watch the stage. They have also done some remodeling in the lap dance area and the VIP rooms. The VIP rooms are not really rooms, but more like large stalls with a netting over the opening. They have way too much lighting. The level of activity varies greatly with the entertainers. It appears there has been quite a bit of turnover. The rumor mill says that some of the best of the past are gone now because they were too friendly in VIP. That's unfortunate.
Pulse is still a good choice of the four clubs in the Peoria area. They do not have the wonderful food that Club Cabaret serves or the good food that Elliot's serves, but their atmosphere is more enjoyable.
