I visited Henry the VIII south...

I visited Henry the VIII south on Wednesday March 27th, from around 7pm to 10pm. I paid the $5 cover and got my only coke for the night for around $5. Wild Wednesday was not wild but the drinks were cheap. The wait staff and bouncers were fine but the talent level was terrible. I got dances from four girls but only two were passable. I visited a couple of years ago on a Friday and the Wednesday appear to not be the day to go. I actually left to go somewhere else.

Henry the VIII South is a small club with a small stage in the front the bar in the back. There is another very small stage at the entrance. There are chairs around the main stage, about 6 tables just back from the stage with benches, watch how you sit down incase the bench moves, and a set of high top stools before you get back to the bar seats. There is another section of tables farther away from the stage to the side of the bar that might be closer to the back tables. The lighting is pretty good. From my first visit the lap dance area has been upgraded to Bogart’s level. There is a buffet chair in small walled in room with a curtain. Private enough but not that comfortable.

Southgate is a south suburb of Detroit and Henry’s is right off of a main highway. Henry’s has its own lot and if the parking lot is completely full there is probably no room in the club.
