I think this place subsists on guys who are from out of town and have time to kill before their flight leaves at LAX. They used to go to the Carolina Lodge or whatever that place on Century was called with the big NUDE NUDE sign. Now they come to Bare Elegance and pay way too much for everything.

This is the kind of place that might be a great club if you didn't feel every minute you're there that everyone was grabbing for your wallet. The dances are overpriced. On my visit yesterday I got dances from two girls and both spent the entire time trying to get me to upgrade to an expensive private sky box. One practically said, "I know this dance isn't much but if you could spring for the sky box, I could give you a real dance." Well, what about the one I'm paying you for at the moment?

The Bare has always been overpriced but there was a time when they had the best looking dancers around. Now, the lineup is about as good as any club in the area. You can usually find someone you like but she's not going to be any hotter than the girl you like at some other club. If anything, Plan B in West L.A. now has the hottest girls but most are just eye candy with no meaningful contact.
